Steven Smith joined TFC Financial Management in 2016 becoming a part of the Client Service Team. Steven works alongside our financial advisors to help provide the highest level of customer service for our clients. Some of his responsibilities include the opening of new accounts, asset transfers, helping to answer client requests, assisting with annual audits, and working with our custodians to ensure timely and accurate process of all client requests.
Prior to joining TFC, Steven was a Client Service and Operations Senior Associate at Canaccord Genuity Inc. for over ten years where he worked with the Corporate Services and Institutional Trading Desk processing the allocations for the firm’s daily trade activity, administered the firm’s commission sharing plan, conducted compliance audits, and the processing of all client account trading and fund transfers.
Steven’s prior experience also includes 7 years with Cambridge Savings Bank where he served in multiple capacities that took him from assisting clients directly at the branches in a Client Service role to helping improve the client experience in Bank Operations position.
Steven is married and has 1 child. Outside of the office you may find him often on the soccer pitch. His time is spent wearing many hats helping out as a volunteer coach, an age director for the Middlesex Youth Soccer League, as well as a referee for the past 6 years. When not on the soccer field, Steven is also an avid Cribbage player and will not pass up the chance to enjoy a fun board game with friends and family.
