Maria Arenas joined TFC Financial Management in July 2021 as a member of the Client Service Team. She works closely with financial advisors and clients to provide portfolio account administration, execute cash transactions, asset transfers, and general client service requests. She also oversees the onboarding process of new clients and serves as a liaison between clients and partner custodians.
Prior to joining TFC Financial Management, Maria spent seven years at Litvak & Co. (Norwalk, CT) as an Operations Analyst where she oversaw the day-to-day activity of the firm’s investment accounts. She managed the firm’s portfolio system and was responsible for integration of multiple custodian platforms, as well as client reporting customization. She served on the firm’s Operating Committee and assisted the Investments team to coordinate investment policy statement reviews.
Maria moved with her family to the United States from Medellin, Colombia in 1999 and is perfectly bilingual. She is a graduate of Southern Connecticut State University (New Haven, CT), with Bachelor of Science in International Business, where she played Division II Women’s Volleyball. She was recognized by the SCSU Athletic Department and NCAA for outstanding work in the classroom and community. Maria is also a big Boston sports fan. She enjoys going to Patriots, Celtics, and Red Sox games with her sister Paola (even though Paola is a NY Yankees fan).
