Brian joined TFC Financial Management in 2023. As Chief Investment Officer, Brian supervises and oversees TFC's Investment Process and is responsible for leading TFC's Investment Committee and investment team. Brian works closely with the Investment Committee to make decisions on asset allocation, portfolio structure, the selection of external managers, and new investment opportunities.
Prior to joining TFC, Brian was the Director of Portfolio Strategy and a Senior Portfolio Manager with The Colony Group. In this role, he was responsible for macroeconomic and market research, manager due diligence, asset allocation, and portfolio design and implementation. Additionally, he served as the portfolio manager for a number of private client and institutional relationships. Prior to these roles, he was the Director of Investment Research and then Chief Investment Officer with Harvest Capital Management before their merger with The Colony Group. While at The Colony Group, he also oversaw the firm’s Sustainable Investing Solutions, an offering he designed while he was with Harvest. Brian has been featured in numerous publications, including Barron's, the Wall Street Journal, Kiplinger, and Forbes Advisor.
Brian received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Columbia University. He earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2005 and the Chartered SRI Counselor Designation in 2019. He has been actively involved with the New Hampshire Endowment for Health, with whom he currently serves as a member of the Investment Committee. He previously served as a Board Member, Treasurer, and Chair of the Investment and Finance Committees.
Brian lives in New Hampshire, is married and has three children. He enjoys traveling and spending time with his family. In his spare time, you might find him running, snowboarding, relaxing on a beach, listening to his extensive music collection or enjoying sports on TV.
